Aura is a great, intimate venue. If you're going to see an artist you really like, it's the perfect venue for it, bar one big issue: if you show up late and it's basically sold out, don't expect to see them. You'll hear them, for sure, but the venue's layout for GA sucks really, really badly for people who aren't tall/aren't able to get in at doors. The balcony doesn't have any kind of leveling for GA, and the pit just has two levels, one of which is the thoroughfare for people getting to the balcony as well as the bar. Just get there early and chill. Also the coat check is $3, a little higher than expected. The drinks are great though.
I really want to come here and take time to review this venue. We came here to see Jay Pharaoh last weekend. Jay was awesome, but that's for later. This was my first time at Aura. Believe me when I tell you that there is not a bad seat in the house. Anybody saying different obviously has not been to many venues. Also, the staff (and I dealt with at least 4) seemed to all be great. You don't see that often. I actually got a picture with Jay after the show and when a staff member saw what was going on he literally stopped what he was doing and offered to take the picture for me. And lastly, the beer is a few dollars cheaper than most performance venues. Cant beat that!
Had a great experience at the thievery corporation show. First time here, and I'd gladly make the trip from MA to see a show. Very clean, good drinks and good sound. Was not overly insane like some smaller venues can get.
Drinks AND beer were served in paper cups and WAY overpriced! 9.00 for a paper/plastic cup of beer?!! Really??!! No idea about their food because on the nights we went, THEY WEREN'T SERVING ANY FOOD, AFTER WE CALLED AHEAD AND THEY SAID THEY WERE! It's a decent sized venue, but they need to recheck their beer/drink prices!!!
I photographed the Super Bowl event at Aura and it was a great space for that and any other general event, let along a stellar live music location. The venue itself is brand new, basically - with a ton of bars scattered around inside.
Came here to see the Front Bottoms, great venue but felt extremely small for the amount of people they let in. Good luck seeing if you were on the upper floors unless you were lucky like me to get a spot by the rails.
I attended an event and had two beers, was charged $60, reached out to have it corrected, and it was never resolved. Months of emails and I barley got responses, after a while they ghosted me. Bryan Burns (bar manager) and Mark Curdo (general manager) are terrible at their jobs, and I would advise anyone visiting this business to check their receipts to make sure they do not receive the same treatment. Better yet, don't visit Aura.
Great live music venue! The acoustics are 🔥! They have a restaurant attached right to the venue & if you’re going to the show they make sure you’re all set before the show starts. They have a bar right in the venue too. I’m so excited to see more shows here!!! …
